Paradise Elementary Volunteers;
Volunteers are a vital part of every community and organization. Your services are central to our success and Volunteer Week acknowledges your enormous contribution. We have volunteers involved in our school each and every day from our breakfast club, school field trips, Kiss and Ride lanes and by just lending a helpful hand. During Volunteer Week 2017, Paradise Elementary would like to thank all our volunteers including our School Council, parents/guardians and community groups for their support and involvement. It is your ongoing efforts that help improve our school community. Together, we are helping each student achieve.
On May 25th, our school will be hosting a Volunteer breakfast to celebrate your helpful contributions to our wonderful school. We will be sending out a formal invitation to all our volunteers in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you for all of your support this year,
Paradise Elementary Staff
Students in Grade Two have tadpoles in their classrooms! Right now, they have front and back legs along with a tail. The kids are observing these tiny creatures as they develop into frogs! What a wonderful Science project! Thank you to everyone who helped set up this LIVE Science exhibit for the Grade Two students.
Grade 3 and Grade 4 students in Ms. Burt Saunder's and Ms. Doyle's class are participating in the Little Green Thumbs project. We look forward to seeing what they will be growing.
Mrs. Brophy's combined 1-2 class participated in a Skype session with the authors of Dream Jumpers to kick off the beginning of Literacy week.
Students in Grade 5 take part in the long celebrated tradition in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Two Grade Four students show kids from Grade 3 how to animate a spaceship using the website, Scratch. A good time was enjoyed by all!
